-DEP in diesel mechanics, construction equipment mechanics, small engines or other relevant training; -3 years experience in a similar position; -Knowledge in hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics; -Knowledge of small engines; -Knowledge of equipment; -Ability to solve problems and to analyze; -Ability to synthesize information; -Ability to communicate; -Ability to work under pressure; -Speed of execution.
Job Summary:
One of our clients is looking for a Construction Equipment Mechanic for an on-the-road position. Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the Mechanic is responsible for the proper functioning of the rental center's equipment and performs repairs directly at the customer's location.

Detailed duties include:
-Perform repairs on customer equipment;
Maintain and repair rental center equipment: 2-stroke, 4-stroke, diesel, electric, hydraulic and pneumatic engines, propane equipment (including rental center rolling stock);
-Diagnose the condition of the equipment and make recommendations to your supervisor if necessary;
-Travel directly to customers to make repairs;
-Determine priority repairs with the counter clerk and/or service manager;
-Compile and maintain the necessary documents during repairs;
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment;
-Maintain a clean and safe work area; Ensure that you have the necessary parts and tools for repairs;
-Provide explanations during service calls for customers;
-Perform all other related tasks.

Daytime schedule Monday to Friday from 6am to 3pm (40 to 50 hours/week)
Weekend work on rotation (1 weekend out of 3), depending on needs and service calls
