Requirements:
-DEC in social assistance, social work or special education -2 years of experience as a socio-economic aid agent, including one year in helping or assisting disadvantaged clients. Experience in working with non-voluntary clients -Knowledge of spoken and written French and English -Knowledge of the operation of a microcomputer, more specifically of the Windows environment and of Word and Excel software -Knowledge of the social housing, accommodation and health and social services sectors -Ability to develop trusting relationships with people -Ability to write activity and analysis reports -Ability to work in the fall, under pressure and to adapt to different clienteles -Good interpersonal skills and teamwork -Valid driver's license, class 5 Generally recognized equivalencies: -DEC in human sciences and 3 years of experience as a socio-economic aid agent, including one year in helping or assisting disadvantaged clients. Experience in working with non-voluntary clients required -University certificate in communications, communication psychology or social work and 2 years of experience as a socio-economic aid agent in a community setting, including 1 year in helping or assisting disadvantaged clients
Job Summary:
One of our clients, a large municipal organization, is looking for a Referral Agent for the Housing Intake and Referral Service. The main objective of the position is to ensure the reception, accompaniment, temporary housing and housing search of homeless households in Montreal.

Your tasks will be as follows
-Greet people and receive calls from people in difficulty who are urgently looking for housing
-Ensure the classification of applications received in order to create and maintain a list of applications for housing in emergency situations
-Search for temporary housing for households and make reservations
-Ensuring the verification of accommodation invoices
-Establish and maintain a database of available housing
-Follow up on people rehoused in emergency situations by accompanying and supporting them in their search for permanent housing. If necessary, meet with them at the temporary housing location
-Referring people who are not eligible for temporary housing to the appropriate resources
Ensure the follow-up of the files of rehoused persons with our housing partners
-Coordinate, with any external organization, the services required to support people in need
-Write all administrative reports requested by the immediate superior, including the production of statistical reports related to the referral service
-Ensures, when required, the execution of any related activity that he/she is reasonably able to perform

Daytime schedule: Monday to Friday
